Marjorie Fawkes' Archive

These negatives come from the archive that belonged to Marjoirie Fawkes of Surrey Hills in Melbourne. This is what her niece Ruby writes about Aunt Marj:

Her name was Marjorie Fawkes, and she travelled to the UK on working holidays in the 1950s - working as a legal secretary for a few firms. She travelled many times with her group of friends to UK, Europe, Canada and the US. She continued to travel back to the UK, Europe in the 1970s and 80s for holidays. She was away for quite a few years initially and sent any of her souvenirs, photos, ephemera back to her home to Melbourne (where she was born). She passed about 4 years ago but would tell us of her travels, showing us old photographs and souvenirs she picked up on her holidays. Aunt Marj loved to travel, and even at the age of 84 travelled to Singapore. We have been left with many of her memories. Up to her passing she was also a shareholder and a working committee member of a large family company. We miss hearing about her adventures - Aunt Marj was one of a kind - a fascinating story-teller and a strong-willed woman who was ahead of her time.

Marjorie appears on several images: next to the Royal Canadian Mountie, sitting on the porch, among her friends and waiving to the camera from a snow-covered street. In the last photo she is holding a box camera. Was it the camera that took most of these images?
